Whether you have joined us already, or intend to, this brief aims to give you an overview of the Supporters Club set-up in general and especially how our own Branch operates.
Once you’ve actually become a Member, then as well as this outline, we’ll tell you in more detail about our services and facilities.
At any stage please do not hesitate to ask any questions when we meet you in person. People who have been involved with the Supporters Club for a long time are often fond of saying that, “The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.”
However, there’s no rules on how many games you go to or how many meetings you attend. We all have our own priorities and responsibilities in life and limits on our time and money.
The Supporters Club is as old as Leeds United and still manages a global representation. It has always been an independent and totally volunteer run organisation. Each Branch sends two delegates to form the Executive Committee, which is our governing council.
The “Executive” normally meets every 2 weeks and any Member is entitled to attend. You can’t get more democratic than that so as you can guess we value and guard that independence.
Football/Premier Leagues are a £multi-million industry but consistently it’s the ordinary non-corporate fan who is least consulted and always most exploited. Such independence can be constantly under attack from people who run Football Clubs.

       Where Are We?

Our Branch Meetings are held in the Old Peacock opposite the South stand.
Most Leeds fans coming to Elland Road have seen it.
For Meetings you can park on the forecourt.

        Meetings

Dates can be found here or by calling our Branch Information Line on:
Leeds (0113) 277 7786.
Meetings are held fortnightly on Mondays throughout the Football Season, dates may vary slightly for Public Holidays. Meetings provide a two way information exchange, a means to highlight problems and any other burning topics affecting you as a fan. Occasionally we may also have a Guest Speaker.
Every Member attending goes into a free £10.00 Draw made during the Meeting.
You will meet other supporters like yourself, all ages, male/female, different backgrounds.

        Matchdays

The Old Peacock is, and operates as, a public house especially before home matches. Occasionally there may be entry restrictions after a game to comply with police advice.
Usually Members can gain access by showing their LUSC Photo/Current Season Cards, which may be via the back door.
We will shortly have an area which can be segregated for meetings and functions in privacy from the main bar area.
On non-match days, apart from the occasional meeting, the premises are just like any other well-run public house.
