Football Predictions Comptetition.
We have launched our Football Predictions Competition and deadline for entries is
Monday 4th August which will be our first ordinary meeting after our Branch AGM.
Who knows what the Season has in store for the various Clubs, Managers and Players so why not have a go.
It'll be a bit of fun and £2 entry fee won't exactly break the bank. We'll split the "take" between Branch funds and a cash prize.
Come on - have a go if you think you're brave enough!
Why not have a second try and double your chances?

Clicke here to download a Predictions entry form. (Word Doc)

Hand your entries and fee to any Branch Official by the deadline.

Branch AGM & Membership Renewals 2008.
Our AGM is on Monday 14th July at the Peacock starting at 8.00pm. Everyone has been sent either an email or a letter 2nd class post on Saturday 14th June. A Membership Renewal Form 2008-2009 was attached/ enclosed, the e version being in Word Doc. format. The deadline for nominations/ resolutions is Wednesday 2nd July and they must reach the Secretary on or before that date. Although the AGM is for
existing Members (2007-2008) we will be ready to welcome any New Members after that date. A form for New Joiners can be downloaded from our "Join/ Branch Info Section". Please be aware that some of the information in this section of the site is out of date f/e our Branch HQ and will be corrected in due course.
Renewals and subscriptions can be left with the Treasurer at the Branch AGM but it is simply not feasible to process these on the night of the meeting. 2008-2009 fixtures were due to be released Monday 16th June.

Membership.
So this Season isn't over just yet. Now there's a bit of extra travel to organise, plus a few more weeks of our 49er Draw.
To get to the point the Branch Committee aren't getting brain rusty, in fact we haven't yet
dared to think about when we might have our AGM.
As soon as practical we will let everyone know and of course how you can renew your Membership, just in case you'd forgotten! Whatever League Leeds are in for 20008-2009 Season, we still need and value all our existing Members as much as we covert our 89 years of independence.
One inescapable fact is that we always need new blood and if you've just found this website then you're very welcome to come and join us. For more info please email JP4LUSCFullerton@aol.com
If you're already a Member and get bored with mowing the lawn or painting your fence in the next few months then please have a think about who you, (yes and we do mean you), can recruit into the Branch.

Soundbites.
"Leeds United are valued Members of the Football League."
Lord Brian Mawhinney, Football League Chairman - May 1st.

"If we get promoted at Wembley it would be the perfect answer to the League."
LUSC Chairman Ray Fell in the Yorkshire Evening Post - May 2nd.

"Finally, they (The Tribunal) criticised the delay in bringing the appeal. That's unfair because we started trying to overturn the decision on August 30th (2007)."
Ken Bates, Leeds United Chairman, Gillingham Matchday Programme - May 3rd.

Quiznight.
A few weeks may have passed but just for the record 13 teams took part in the LUSC Annual Quiz held in The Old Peacock on May 1st.
Fullerton Park's team was made up of Danny Brown, Keith Gaunt, Stephen Reynolds and David Zaman whom we must thank for willingly volunteering to represent the Branch.
As Baron Pierre De Coubertin famously once said, "The important thing is not to win, but to take part." If you know who he was then we'll pencil you in for next time. If you don't then we suggest a visit to Wikipedia !
